Staff and students at College House are excited to share news of the success of our recent visit to Trinity College Melbourne.

Like College House, Trinity College was founded on the Oxbridge College model and, as such, is an appropriate partner for a cultural exchange. Last weekend nineteen College House students and staff visited Trinity College for the first of what we hope will be many cultural visits. Over the course of the weekend our students competed in Debating and Theatre Sports competitions, attended a Trinity College play, a choir recital and took in some of the city sights.
College House is delighted to announce that College House students won both the Theatre Sports and Debating competitions. Additionally members of the College House Choir joined the Melbourne Grammar School Choir and the professional touring choir of Trinity College and performed alongside the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in the brand new Melbourne Recital Hall.
Special thanks goes to our 2009 Cultural Officer, Sam Johnson, and alumnus, Matthew West, for their help and organization of the event. Our thanks go also to our College House students who were great ambassadors, not only of their college but also of their university.
College House wishes to thank all the staff and students of Trinity College for their warm hospitality and we look forward to hosting a return visit by Trinity College in 2010.
