The last feast dinner of the year was one that will be remembered by all for a very long time. Not only did the House farewell the leavers but the House also said farewell to the Principal Dr Andrew Stockley, who after ten years of leadership at CH, leaves to take up a new position at Oxford University.

Students, staff, Board members and guests enjoyed a fantastic four course meal, interspersed with speeches, a poem and a number of musical items.
After the principal's speech the House formed a guard of honour stretching out down though the quad and onto Ilam Fields for a 'small ceremony'.
At that point the Principal announced that he had a surprise for the House and triggered off the most unexpected fireworks extravaganza. The explosions lit up the night sky and were heard and seen as far away as Cashmere, Papanui, Merivale and Sumner.
The House returned to the dining hall for the final speeches and music from the rock band, during which the Principal was seen crowd surfing !
It was fabulous evening and an incredible farewell for both the leavers and BM.
