College Day dawned bright and clear, Board members, staff and student council members had morning tea in the new upstairs reception area before Chapel Service, lunch and photos.

As well as performances from the College House Octet and College House musicians, The Very Reverend Michael Brown, former Dean of Wellington Cathedral and now Honorary Chaplain to the Christchurch City Mission, gave the reflection at the College Day Chapel Service.
He enriched his lesson with stories from his days at the 'old College House site'.
Tales included crackers in the candle snuffers, the switching of rooms before visitors arrived, draft horses in bedrooms and the reassembly of cars in the upstairs corridors!
'Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence'.
From Desiderata by Max Ehrmann 1952.
Read by the principal, Dr Andrew Stockley.
