Students at dinner were treated to a surprise when the new college house flag was unveiled to the House accompanied by trumpet fan fare.

The new flag features the Tudor rose, the wave which symbolises the distance Canterbury settlers traveled and the open book with the initials IX – Jesu Christi. These icons can be found at the centre of the College House crest. The principal Dr Andrew Stockley said that the new flag is more in keeping with correct heraldic tradition.
After the flag ceremony and the reciting of 'homage to the flag', students performed the college house haka and enjoyed mulled wine, chocolate dipped apples and marshmallows toasted over cauldrons in the quad.
